Abstract consists of one justify paragraph, with maximum of 200 words, and is written using Times New Roman, font size 9. Abstract contains background, objective, method, results, and conclusions of the paper. Kindly avoid the abbreviations and citations.

Keywords:  Include a maximum of five phrases which is arranged alphabetically and separated using semicolons (;). Kindly use specific and relevant terms that do not appear in the title. Avoid a long phrases as keywords.


Manuscript could be written either in Indonesia or English. However, it is highly recommended to submit the manuscript in English. If preferred in English, either British or American English spelling can be used. The body of manuscript should be prepared in two-column format without indentation in the first paragraph. The preferred length of article manuscript is about 4000 to 10.000 words. In general, the bulk of manuscript is written in Times New Roman 11. The first-level section titles are in Times New Roman 11 Bold and use all capital letters.

Indent the subsequent paragraphs throughout. Type or paste your text here in multiple spacing of 1.15. The manuscript should be submitted in .docx, .doc, or .rtf format. This section should briefly explain the background of the study, provide a short review of the pertinent literature, state the originality of the research, and its objectives. This section also covers the factual and actual activities carried out during community services by elaborating the social problems, challenges, or requirements needed by community which is related to the research purposes.

Paper submissions to Jurnal Abdi Masyarakat Indonesia (JAMIN) should be done through online submission system and/ or manual email to jamin@trisakti.ac.id. There are no strict formatting requirements for the initial submission, as long as the article structure conforms with the author guidelines and the article content belongs to community service program. Manuscripts that advance to the revision stage will then be required to be formatted appropriately (see the formatting section). This enables authors to

focus on the scientific content of their manuscript, along with speeding up the article's processing time. In order to avoid plagiarism, paper manuscript will be checked using ‘TURNITIN’. Any similarity exceeded than 25% will be returned to the author and must be revised promptly.

 2.    METHOD

A methodology consists of an attempt and approach explanation of the procedure used during community service program. Kindly combine the methods and procedure used into one narrative passage. Method could refer to some relevant references as found in academic books or journal articles. Methods already published should be indicated by a reference. For commercial sources of the materials, the name of the company, the town and country in which they are located should be indicated.


This section comprises an explanation or elaboration of the outcome program and can be combined with the Discussion section. Data should be presented as concisely as possible, and in the form of tables or figures if appropriate, although very large tables should be avoided. Citation is also encouraged in preparing the manuscript. It is suggested to use ‘MENDELEY’ with APA 6 th Edition (American Psychological Association) format style to simplify the reference edit. Insert citation from MENDELEY is simply used by clicking References from Windows feature followed by “Insert Citation, Go To Mendeley, Click the article used and Cite, as appeared in the following sentence (Riogilang & Masloman, 2009) and (McBride, 1991). The author (s) are expected to use 10 – 20 relevant references. To show the mastery of the author(s) on state of the art of their respective fields, at least 80% of the references should be 5 years or younger. Apart from article in scientific journal, other forms of appropriate references could also be used (theses and dissertations, books, chapters in books, articles in conference proceeding, maps, etc.). Avoid excessive referencing of published literature. Refer to the References for how to write down these forms of references. References are listed alphabetically based on the family name of the principal author. For subsection, kindly refer to this following format :

3.1  Headings

Please use no more than three levels of displayed headings (e.g. 2, 2.1, 2.1.1, but no

3.2    Abbreviations

Abbreviations in text should be defined fully only at first mention and used consistently thereafter.

3.3    Italicization

Article which is written in Bahasa Indonesia should follow the Petunjuk Umum Ejaan Bahasa Indonesia (PUEBI) format. If some terms was written in English, those words must be italicized. However, if the paper manuscript is prepared in English, words of non-English origin should be italicized. Do not italicize words for emphasis.

3.4  Tables, figures and graphs

3.4.1   Figures

Figure (s) should be computer generated, be numbered consecutively and refer to within the text (for instance : as shown in Figure 1). Figure(s) can be inserted into the text with one or two-column wide as seen below. Figure caption is placed underneath the figure.

Color figure(s) are accepted. The minimum resolution of the figure(s) is 150 dpi. If required, the editor might ask the corresponding author to send the figure files (in JPEG or TIFF format) separately. If a figure contains text in it then the size of the text is at least 8 point. Every figure should be cited in the text in numerical order using Arabic numerals (i.e. Figure 2 cannot be cited before Figure 1).

3.4.2   Tables

Tables should present new information rather than duplicating what is in the text. Table(s) could be inserted into body of text in one or two column wide as shown in the example. Horizontal lines are given only as shown in the example. No vertical lines in the table (Hama & Tumbuhan, 1999). The font size in the table(s) is 11 points. Table caption is given above the table (see example). Every table should be cited in the text in numerical order using Arabic numerals (i.e. Table 2 cannot be cited before Table 1). Place table footnotes below the table, indicating them with superscripted lowercase letters (for significance values).

3.4.3 Graphs
Graphs created with Microsoft Excel should also be sent in their original Excel file. Present graphs in 2D (not 3D), without shadows or other effects, and without gridlines. See examples below :

All references used in this text must be listed alphabetically. Literature cited during the construction of the paper are included in the bibliography and use an APA 6 th Edition (American Psychological Association) style format. For the purposes of efficiency and conciseness, avoid using

more than 40 references and less than 10, consist of 70% journal references and 30% book references. Journal references should be at least 5 recent years. To emerge the bibliography, use the installed Mendeley on your Word by clicking the reference and Insert Bibliography. The cited article in text will automatically appeared.
